THE HOLY SPIRIT

• We believe and teach that the Holy Spirit is alive and well in every believer. He instructs, comforts,

convicts, guides, and gives to every Christian at least one gift to be used in building up and

edifying the church (John 14:15-27 ; John 16:5-15 ; Romans 12:3-6 ; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 ;

Ephesians 4:11-13 ; 1 Peter 4:10 ).

• We believe and teach that no one gift of the Holy Spirit is more important or less important.

How He distributes His gifts is solely of God's choosing. The gifts of the Spirit have one purpose,

that is to strengthen and build up the church, not divide or tear it down. (1 Corinthians 12:12-31 ;

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 ; 1 Corinthians 14:40 ).

• We believe and teach that the Holy Spirit is one person of the Godhead, the Trinity. The Father,

Son and Holy Spirit exist eternally in three persons and yet are one in God. (Matthew 28:19 ;

John 14:16 ; John 16:7-15)
