BAPTISM

• We believe and teach that baptism in the New Testament was by immersion, for believers. We believe and teach that it symbolizes Christ's death, burial and resurrection; the putting off of old clothes and the putting on of new ones; and a public pledge or seal of union with Christ. Baptism

is for our benefit. It is no more or no less important then any other New Testament teaching. It is

a beautiful portrait of God's willingness to wash away our sins. Baptism is an act of obedience to

Christ's lordship. We recognize that there are those who are unimmersed believers and it is our

prayer and desire to love them, identify with them and teach them.
